SDCC 2018: A Storm is Brewing at the ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Panel

The cast of Fear the Walking dead took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con today to talk about that wild ride that was 4A and preview what’s to come in the back half. The season has already found a multitude of new characters hitting the scene, including Lennie James crossing over from The Walking Dead and on top of that the series killed off two of its original main characters in Kim Dickens’ Madison Clark and Frank Dillane’s Nick Clark.

In 4b the characters will be taking on an enemy, unlike anything we’ve ever seen on The Walking Dead – Mother Nature. If the newly released trailer is any indication, there’s a huge storm brewing, sending walkers flying through the air.

The panel kicked off on a lighter note though with a blooper reel that hopefully makes its way online at some point.

They also confirmed some new actors hitting the scene in 4b including Stephen Henderson, Aaron Stanford, and Parks and Recreation’s Mo Collins.

Robert Kirkman talked about his adoration for Morgan Jones as well as James’ performance.

And Lennie talked about his grueling filming schedule since returning to the series.

Greg Nicotero talked about the pressures of doing a spinoff series for such a successful show like The Walking Dead.

Strand is apparently living his best life in the wine-cellar of the mansion he found.

They also talked about Colman Domingo’s upcoming directorial debut on the series.

Newcomer Maggie Grace talked about the new “family” the crew has started to form.

Garrett Dillahunt and Jenna Elfman talked about their characters relationship on the show.

When asked if Fear the Walking Dead will find more characters crossing over from The Walking Dead, Scott Gimple had an interesting response.

Fear the Walking Dead returns for the back half of season 4 on Sunday, August 12. You can watch the full trailer below!
