Mile 22 follows an elite American intelligence officer (Wahlberg), who with the aid of a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country before the enemy closes in on them. The cast is rounded out by Ronda Rousey, Jahn Malkovich, Iko Uwais, Terry Kinney, and Alexandra Vino. Check out the red band trailer for the film below!

STX clearly has a lot of faith in the film seeing as they’ve already ordered a sequel with The Black List writer Umair Aleem taking on the script. Mile 22 will team Whalberg back up with his Deepwater Horizon director Peter Berg, who has also directed a couple episodes of HBO’s The Leftovers. The film will be written by Lea Carpenter and Graham Roland, who also wrote for the first season of Amazon’s upcoming series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski.

Fans will most likely recognize Lauren Cohan from her starring role on AMC’s The Walking Dead. She’s been playing the fierce Maggie Green since season 2, but will, unfortunately, be departing the series alongside star Andrew Lincoln during the first half of the upcoming ninth season. She won’t be off the small screen for long though! Cohan will be starring alongside Scott Foley and her Walking Dead co-star Tyler James Williams on ABC’s new crime dramedy Whiskey Cavalier
