‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Begins Production on Season 4

Legends of Tomorrow Begins Production on Season 4

The Legends are back in action as production has begun for the upcoming season of the CW superhero series. Actress Caity Lotz (Sara Lance) tweeted photos from the set, joking that it’s been four years and they still can’t take a good photo, which is typical of the misfits of the Waverider. Lotz is pictured with Nick Zano (Nate Heywood), Tala Ashe (Zari Tomaz), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory), Matt Ryan (John Constantine), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer), and showrunner Phil Klemmer.

The finale of Season 3 found the Legends facing off against their biggest foe yet in Mallus. They made the decision to allow the demon to escape his prison and then banish him for good using the Totems. This unknowingly led to the release of other mythical creatures, which the show is calling “Fugitives.” The last scene of the finale had John Constantine interrupting the Legends’ Aruba vacation to inform them of the new threat. He will be joining the Waverider for the upcoming season.

Ryan isn’t the only new addition to the series regular roster. He will be joined by Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) and Courtney Ford (Nora Darhk). Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West) will return for season premier before stepping away from the Arrowverse, while Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Amaya Jiwe) tweeted she will be back for Season 4. There was no confirmation that Ashe would stick around for another season, so it’s good to see her in the above photo, as Zari was a fun addition to the team.

Legends of Tomorrow returns Monday, October 22 on The CW.
