It’s hard to believe that the AMC hit series Breaking Bad premiered on television a decade ago already!
Yes, seriously! Ten years ago, we were introduced to Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Gus Fring and a whole slew of characters that we would grow to love or hate for 5 spectacular seasons.
The series followed Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. In order to pay his medical bills and ensure his family’s finances are secure, he turns to a life of drug producing and selling with his accomplice, and former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). Honestly, it’s one of the best series to grace television in recent years.
Recently, the cast, as well as series creator Vince Gilligan, reunited for a special 10th-anniversary event with Entertainment Weekly. The cast gathered together to reminisce about their days on one of the most badass shows of all time.
Cranston spoke about how meaningful the series was to all of those involved. He told EW:
Aaron Paul captured the sentiment of their reunion the best when he told EW:
In addition to sitting down for an interview, the cast also posed for some exclusive reunion photos which you can check out HERE.
In addition to Cranston and Paul, the series also starred Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Jonathan Banks, Giancarlo Esposito and Bob Odenkirk. Breaking Bad premiered on January 20, 2008, and throughout its run, earned 16 Primetime Emmy Awards, 2 Golden Globes, 2 Peabodys and was named as one of the “Top 10 Programs of the Year” by the American Film Institute in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The cast of Breaking Bad will be heading to San Diego Comic-Con next month for what’s sure to be an awesome reunion in the famous Hall H! We can’t wait to see what happens!
