Krysten Ritter Will Make Her Directorial Debut in Season 3 of Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’
Season three of Marvel’s Jessica Jones just got a hell of a lot more exciting! As if fans of the series weren’t pumped enough by the recent confirmation of a third season on Netflix, now they can get excited that the series star Krysten Ritter will be making her directorial debut in the upcoming season.
It’s not yet known which episode Ritter will be directing, but she certainly sounds super pumped and ready to rise to the challenge. According to Deadline, Ritter said, “I am beyond thrilled to make my directorial debut on Marvel’s Jessica Jones. The entire crew and cast has become family to me, and I’m so appreciative of the opportunity to work with our incredible team in this new way. I am so grateful that Melissa Rosenberg, Jeph Loeb, Marvel, and Netflix entrusted me to take the reins.”
The upcoming season is sure to be just as excellent as the first two have been. In the second season, Jessica Jones (Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why. Who knows where season three will lead her!
In addition to Ritter, Jessica Jones also stars Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse as well as new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others. The series is executive produced by showrunner Melissa Rosenberg along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
Production is well underway and filming of the third season recently kicked off in New York City. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
