‘Halloween’ and ‘Glass’- Two Killer Panels for SDCC’s Hall H!

With Marvel announcing that they would not be having a panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con as well as other major studios not making appearances, attendees were left to wonder, what was left?

Deadline.com reported on Wednesday that Universal and Miramax/Blumhouse will both be headed to sunny San Diego and landing in Hall H.

Universal will be presenting M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass. The film is a sequel to both Unbreakable and Split.  The film centers around Unbreakable’s David Dunn’s pursuit of Split’s Wendell Crumb. Bruce Willis and James McAvoy reprise their roles as Dunn and Crumb. Samuel L. Jackson and Anya Taylor-Joy also return along with newly added Sarah Paulson.

“Eighteen years ago I had this idea: What if comic books were based on reality? I tried to tell the story of superheros in the real world with David Dunn…Then two years ago, I got another crazy notion: What if the afflictions and disorders that everyone in society thinks make a person bad were actually gifts? And I created the origin story for an anarchist who could be good or bad.” – M. Night Shyamalan @ CinemaCon

Miramax/Blumhouse will be haunting Hall H with Halloween. That’s right, kids! Michael Myers! It will be a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s original 1978 film. Michael returns to Haddonfield forty years after terrorizing Laurie Strode and and killing off her friends on Halloween night. Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as Strode, playing her daughter will be Judy Greer and Nick Castle makes his return as Myers.

Although, Halloween (2018) is the eleventh film in the franchise including two Rob Zombie remakes, it’s storyline will take place as though the others never existed. The film was co-written by David Gordon Green and Danny McBride with Green also directing.
