The first issue of the comic, which is created by Jody Houser, Stefano Martino, Lauren Affe, Nate Piekos and Keith Champagne, will be released on September 26th as the first installment in a four-part series. It joins the recently announced Stranger Things book series from Gwenda Bond that will follow the story of Eleven’s mother, as well as a Stranger Things Telltale video game.

Stranger Things has been a bonafide hit for Netflix, earning three Primetime Emmy nominations for its first season and a critically raved about sophomore season. The streaming giant renewed the series for season 3, which recently began production, but details are few and far between. Although, if history were to repeat itself we would expect to return to Hawkins, IN sometime in October 2019.  Stranger Things recently walked away with the Best Show win at the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards.
