Kanye West Wants to Make Music for the Next ‘Deadpool’ Soundtrack

Everyone loves Deadpool and Deadpool 2, and we mean everyone! Even Kanye West!

West took to Twitter yesterday to express his enjoyment and love for both films and, while doing so, also informally requested to be included on the next Deadpool film’s soundtrack. West pointed out that some of the music used within the film sounded strikingly similar to tracks that he has released previously, and he wants to make sure that the film’s creators know he’s totally down to work with them next time.

In the first of two tweets, West said, “I love both Deadpool movies🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥… I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine… bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool …”

Many who read his tweet thought that West was upset that music in the film sounded similar to his own creations, but he was quick to follow up with a second tweet to clear the air. He continued to praise the film and offered his services to the next soundtrack by tweeting, “your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time.”

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has a reputation for being quick-witted when it comes to his twitter responses, and he certainly did not disappoint fans with his reply to West. Reynolds quoted West’s first tweet and snarkily shifted the blame to Celine Dion. Dion recorded the song for Deadpool 2‘s opening title sequence. Reynolds tweeted, “Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion.”

Fans of Kanye West and of the Deadpool films loved the Twitter interactions between the two stars, and it seems many are onboard with Kanye’s suggestions for the next film’s soundtrack.
