Ryan Gosling Prepares to Take “One Giant Leap” as Neil Armstrong in ‘First Man’ Trailer
Ryan Gosling is about to go into outer space in Universal Pictures upcoming film First Man. The first trailer for the film dropped last week in which Gosling plays Neil Armstrong, the first man to ever step foot on the moon.
The first trailer shows Gosling going through rigorous and unprecedented training in preparation for the monumental space expedition, Apollo 11. “We’ve chosen a job so difficult, requiring so many technological developments, we’re gonna have to start from scratch. Only after we’ve mastered these tasks do we consider trying to land on the moon,” says Deke Slayton (played by Kyle Chandler), the man who would eventually select Armstrong for the mission.
Based on a novel by James R. Hansen, the film also stars Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll, and Pablo Schreiber.
