Kevin Smith Solidifies the Importance of No ‘Infinity War’ Spoilers
In our line of work, it’s sort of impossible to totally disconnect from the pop culture realm online. In fact, in this day and age of simply being a fan, it’s hard to be away from the center of it all. However, for fans of the MCU, now is certainly the time to try.
The embargo for Infinity War has officially been lifted, with the review embargo following within the next 24 hours and even though Thanos has demanded silence. Now, we aren’t in the business of messing with Thanos, but some people have already jumped to social media with spoilers.
It’s totally possible that you’ll run across 100 false comments before you read a factual one, but we aren’t willing to risk it.
So we’ve blocked a bunch of phrases and promised ourselves we’ll only be online for what’s absolutely necessary until we see the film this weekend. Before we signed off, we saw a tweet from Kevin Smith that we felt solidifies the importance of waiting to see the film before digging for – or happening upon – any spoilers from the film.
I am overwhelmed. The movie is epic beyond compare. LOVED it. My legs are still shaking. It’s a gigantic @Marvel masterpiece. So much to say but I’ll stay Silent Bob til Monday so as not to slip in spoilers. Suffice to say it’s gonna be a looooong year until @Avengers 4… pic.twitter.com/aHnsgj5MK0

We all want to feel that overwhelming sense of emotion as we sit down for the film, and in every single moment that follows. Even if we’ve realized that we’re totally unprepared.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27th.
