The Russo Brothers Tease Fans with #NewProfilePic on Twitter

There are just 18 days until the world premiere of Avengers: Infinity War and we are officially more nervous and excited than ever before. The prospect of the future, the battle and the relationships, and seeing our favorite heroes are all going to form a monumental emotional moment.

While fans are thrilled, the cast, crew, and brains behind the film are even more excited. It’s been years in the making and the most secretive MCU film to date. They’ve got to be itching for fans to finally see all of their hard work put together,

The Russo brothers took to social media today with a Tweet that caused quite a stir in the pop culture realm. Just about an hour ago, their Twitter profile picture was changed to a drawing of Bucky Barnes. With a little something extra.

Not only is it a picture of the Winter Soldier, it’s a photo of Bucky with Captain America’s shield. Or at least, a glimpse of it.

Of course, fans ran with the idea that this was foreshadowing some bigger picture in the future. Others immediately assumed that the Russo brothers were trolling. A few fans took the opportunity to remind anyone who read the thread that Bucky isn’t a villain. Most, however, fell in the middle and were just excited to see our buddy, our pal, our Bucky as their profile picture.

No matter what the reason for the new profile pic, we can’t get enough Bucky Barnes.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th.
