Fan Fest Chicago took over Rosemont’s Donald E. Stephens Convention Center this weekend with stars from The Walking Dead, Riverdale, Arrow and more in attendance for an epic experience!

On Saturday, the cast of the CW’s newest hit Black Lightning including Cress Williams, Marvin ‘Krondon’ Jones III and James Remar took to the panel stage to chat with fans.

First up, Cress Williams talks about what being a part of Black Lightning has meant to him and how the cast just knew the series would be something special:

Williams continues by teasing this favorite moment so far in Black Lightning which is coming up on this week’s episode!

Marvin Jones III talks about how Black Lightning helps put the “unity” in “community” and how special it was to have the series premiere on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday weekend.

James Remar adds his thoughts on what makes Black Lightning such a special show and what makes the series resonate with fans:

Speaking of being truthful, Remar continues by speaking some truth to Tobias’ character.  While he might be on the evil side on the series, Marvin Jones III is actually the sweetest person ever in real life:

Looking for a bit of inspiration?  James Remar helps close out our coverage by sharing a touching inspirational quote from John Donne’s poem No Man is an Island.
