Margot Robbie to Produce a Female-Led Shakespeare Miniseries

If you haven’t fallen in love with Margot Robbie yet then her next project will surely be the one to get you on board. The I, Tonya star and her production company LuckyChap Entertainment are set to produce a ten-part miniseries that “retells the work of Shakespeare from female perspectives” for Australian television. Every episode will be an individual installment of a Shakespearian play that will “serve as a comment on our modern, global society.”

In addition to Robbie and LuckyChap, the untitled series will also partner with Hoodlum, ABC Studios International, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The concept is already insanely unique and captivating, but on top of that, the series will feature female writers and directors who are able to put their own creative updates onto the beloved works.

“The project will share diverse points of view, from writers representing the different cultures and areas within Australia, which many would not readily associate with works of Shakespeare,” LuckyChap Entertainment said in a statement.

What do you think about Robbie’s latest venture? Hopefully, it makes its way to American television at some point!
