MCU Fans have ‘No Idea’ What to Expect From ‘Avengers 4’

When the last trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released, a new wave of promo began as well. From new merchandise to incredible interview information, fans are being ‘well-fed’. We’ve heard everything from what to expect from different story lines to Thanos’ backstory and even a bit of an update on Iron Man and Captain America.

Not-so-spoiler alert – there’s still some tension.

We’ve also heard a little bit about Avengers 4, and it turns out, none of us have any idea what to expect from the film debuting in 2019. As comicbook.com noted, Stephen McFeely spoke to French magazine Premiere about Avengers 4.

‘We know pretty much what’s going on in Avengers 3. You’ve been told who’s the bad guy and what he wants for several movies and it’s not going to change: that’s what’s going to happen. You run it in the best possible way with twists along the way, but you have no idea what Avengers 4 is.’

We were hoping that’s something we’d find out either before Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters or as we were crying at the end of the film. We didn’t want to get stuck somewhere in the middle and have to wait for an entire year.

The filmmakers didn’t want that either.

‘Nobody knows, and that’s what makes me particularly excited. I look all the time on the internet: people have no idea. Avengers 4 resolves the intrigue of Infinity War; the movies are clearly linked, but they almost seem to belong to two different genres. We did not want to cut a film in half and say, ‘Pay now and come back in a year for the rest!’ These are two very different stories, on a tonal and structural level.’

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th.
