‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Breaks Massive Box Office Record

The hype around Avengers: Infinity War has been building for some time now. In fact, one could say it’s been going on 10 years. So it comes as no surprise that it’s the talk of the pop culture realm right now.

A new trailer dropped on Friday, March 16th at the same time tickets for the film went on sale. We may or may not have purchased seats in three theaters for three different experiences during opening weekend. If we did, we probably weren’t the only ones.

No matter how many times you’ll be seeing the film opening weekend, if you bought tickets, you helped Infinity War break a box office record. A massive one at that.

Within six hours, Infinity War broke the record for ticket sales set by Black Panther in just six hours. Before Black Panther, the record belonged to Captain America: Civil War. It says a lot about the MCU and the power of everything that goes into creating its movies.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th.
