CBC and Sundance Cast Sarah Wayne Callies, Shawn Doyle, Michael Shanks and Camille Sullivan in Mini-Series
CBC and Sundance TV announced the main cast members Thursday for their upcoming miniseries, Unspeakable.
They confirmed that Sarah Wayne Callies, (Colony, The Walking Dead,) Shawn Doyle (Big Love, Bellevue), Michael Shanks (Saving Hope) and Camille Sullivan, (The Main in High Castle, The Disappearance) will all star in the eight-part miniseries.
Robert C. Cooper, (Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Stargate) E.P. and creator of the project had this to say,
“First and foremost, the series is about the emotional impact this terrible tragedy had. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have such incredibly talented people committed to bringing our lead characters to life.”
Unspeakable, is based on the non-fictio books Bad Blood and The Gift of Death by Vic Parsons and Andre Picard respectively. It will chronicle the tragedy of thousands dying from tainted blood from the initial emergence of HIV and Hepatitis C in the ealry 80s in Canada.
Outside Canada, the project will be distributed by AMC Studios. Production is set to begin in Vancouver in Spring 2018.
