Disneyland Paris is Opening Areas Based on Frozen, Star Wars, and Marvel

Disney Magic is not an idea that’s lost on us, especially after a big announcement this week on some expansion plans for Disneyland Paris. Now, it started for us long before we ever visited Disney World, in fact, some of our favorite movies are still Disney classics. The stories make you believe in kindness and love and even far off lands full of beauty and promise – and we could get lost there for hours.

So while we try to make it to Disney World as often as possible, to be surrounded by our favorite characters, stories, and other Disney lovers, we’ll soon need to be packing our bags for a bigger vacation. This time it’s to Disneyland Paris and that announcement is sure to entice fans everywhere.

Three new areas of the park are being added in phases, starting in 2021. This may seem like a while to wait, but we can start saving now and trust us, it’ll be worth it.

Star Wars, Frozen, and Marvel will get their own designated places in the park, all connected by a lake! Bob Iger made the announcement yesterday morning and had this to say about the expansion.

‘We’re very excited about the future of Disneyland Paris and continue to invest in its long-term success. The resort is already the leading tourist destination in Europe, and the transformative expansion we announced today will add even more of our beloved characters and unparalleled storytelling to create new lands, attractions, and entertainment that further elevate the guest experience and drive new opportunities for tourism in this dynamic region.’

While not much information is being specified right now, we do know that there are plans to turn the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster into an adventure with Iron Man. We’re crossing our fingers for one featuring Captain America (and Bucky Barnes) too.
