‘The Good Doctor’ Episode Preview – ‘Heartfelt’
After a long hiatus (too long if you ask me), Dr. Shaun Murphy and the rest of the staff at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital are back this Monday night with a brand new episode of The Good Doctor.
Before the break, we were introduced to a new doctor Morgan Reznick (played by Fiona Gubelmann) and she made it clear she’s not looking to make friends at work. She’s already rivaled with Dr. Claire Browne and, in Monday night’s new episode, it looks like she has no interest in making nice with Shaun either. We’ll also get to meet Alex Park (played by Will Yun Lee). One can only hope that Park treats Shaun with the respect he deserves, unlike Reznick so far.
In addition to the meeting the new faces at St. Bonaventure Hospital, the official synopsis for Monday’s episode titled Heartfelt tells us that Shaun will also be dealing with a super complicated medical case with a side dose of moral dilemma thrown in as well. It’s going to be a doozy of an episode!

“Dr. Shaun Murphy’s teenage patient has been confined to her home her entire life due to a rare heart condition. Despite her condition, she has cultivated a large group of friends online and hopes that the surgical team can find a way to give her the life she has always dreamed of having. Meanwhile, a young patient’s perfectly matched organ donor is causing a moral dilemma for the parents and the patient.”
From Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, Beau Garrett as Jessica Preston, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman and Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki. The series is written by David Shore (House). Shore is also an executive producer along with Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O), David Kim and Sebastian Lee.
The Good Doctor airs Mondays at 10 PM EST on ABC. Will you be watching?
