‘Ready Player One’ Poster Pays Tribute to Iconic Artwork of 80’s Film Classics!

Stephen Spielberg’s Ready Player One is delightfully riddled with 80’s Easter eggs, and now it has a movie poster to match. Peter Shipper put his creative talent to the test by paying tribute to the style of movie poster master, Drew Struzan. Back to the Future, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Indiana Jones are just a few of the legendary films for which Mr. Struzan worked his artistic magic. It is no wonder that Peter Shipper chose to emulate the imagery that brings forth such fond memories. Fans will surely smile as they see actor Tye Sheridan with his fist in the air echoing the exuberance of Back to the Future’s Marty McFly.

“Sheridan plays Wade Watts, a young kid living in the year 2045 when civilization spends most of their time in a virtual reality world called the OASIS. Following his death, the program’s creator, James Halliday (Mark Rylance), leaves behind an immense fortune for the first person to find an Easter egg hidden somewhere in the OASIS. ” Source: Entertainment Weekly
