WATCH: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at What’s to Come During Season 8B of ‘The Walking Dead’

With just about 2 weeks left until the heartbreaking midseason 8 return of The Walking Dead, AMC has released a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming episodes.

When The Walking Dead returns, the fate of Carl Grimes (played by Chandler Riggs) will be revealed and our favorite characters will be left to deal with the aftermath and emotion surrounding the death of one of the originals on the series.  In the below 2-minute clip, cast and crew members provide insight as to just where these characters are emotionally and mentally as we head into the back half of season 8.

The video includes interviews with executive producers Greg Nicotero, Denise Huth, and Tom Luse as well as series stars Andrew Lincoln and Lennie James.  Check out the behind-the-scenes video below:

The midseason premiere episode is titled Honor will have an extended runtime clocking in at 82-minutes long and is directed by Greg Nicotero.  The official synopsis reads:

”Rick faces new difficulties after a battle. Meanwhile, the fight continues in other communities as core members face hard decisions.”

The Walking Dead was recently renewed for a 9th season at AMC with a brand new showrunner Angela Kang at the helm.  The series will return for the second half of season 8 starting on February 25th at 9 PM EST on AMC.
