‘Groundhog Day’ Returning to Theaters for 25th Anniversary Celebration
That’s right woodchuck-chuckers! It’s almost Groundhog Day and what better way to celebrate than by going to see Bill Murray at his best!
Murray’s beloved film Groundhog Day will be returning to theaters for a special one-day-only showing in order to celebrate the film’s 25th Anniversary.
The film, which originally debuted in 1993 starred Murray as Phil Connors, a news broadcaster who, by some sort of magical force, had to relive the same day, Groundhog Day, over and over and over again until he got it just right. The film also starred Andie MacDowell as Connor’s love interest.
Groundhog Day‘s limited theatrical return will take place on, you guessed it, Groundhog Day, February 2nd. In addition to the theatrical return, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a special edition Blu-ray version of the film in 4K Ultra HD.
You can visit the film’s website for a full list of participating theaters. Are you going to check out Groundhog Day on the big screen this week?
