‘Black Panther’ has Incredible First Reviews After World Premiere

On January 29th, Black Panther rolled out its purple carpet for the big world premiere and it was a non stop celebration from start to finish. While the  purple carpet entrance and after parties were full of excitement and pride, the inside of the theater for the premiere itself was full of emotion.

Black Panther is already being hailed one of the best films of the year and a new front runner in the MCU. T’Challa is the hero we’ve long been in need of and the representation isn’t lost on anyone.

We have a feeling we’ll be channeling Erik Davis when we see the film next month.

While some fans are waiting to see the movie themselves before jumping to next level excitement, we’re already there. From trailers and sneak peeks to the passion of the cast and crew, there’s no way this movie won’t break records and raise the bar to its highest setting.

When it comes to villains, we have a soft spot for those who have an emotional story. No, not every tragedy has to turn you into a hollow shell with a mission for destruction, but not every bad guy wants to ruin the world with a smile on their face (yeah, we’re looking at Thanos).

We had a feeling Michael B. Jordan would bring a sense of humanity to Erik Killmonger, and this comparison to Loki only solidifies that for us. He’s going to be a man you find yourself relating to, and maybe not in a way you’d even expect.

Another powerhouse in the film is Letitia Wright’s Shuri, who fans are hailing as an idol for young women.

T’Challa being surrounded by powerful and smart women does serve as a message to women both young and old, there’s a place for brilliance and yours might just change the world.

Ryan Coogler’s message is being heard loud and clear and the resounding sound is one full of hope.

Cry all those nerd tears, we know we will.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th.
