‘The Walking Dead’ Star Andrew Lincoln will Narrate ‘Quidditch Through the Ages’ Harry Potter Audiobook

To us, this is PERFECT!  Fandoms are about to collide!  On Friday, it was announced that The Walking Dead‘s Andrew Lincoln will be joining the Harry Potter world.

Lincoln, who plays the role of the fearless leading survivor Rick Grimes on the AMC hit series, will be lending his voice to Quidditch Throughout the Ages, an audiobook being published by Audible and Pottermore.  In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Lincoln said the following:

“The Wizarding World is one that I always wanted to get the chance to step into.  What makes this project so special, is not only that it allowed me opportunities to create something my kids love and enjoy, but it also supports great causes, like Comic Relief and Lumos.”

Written by J.K. Rowling (as Kennilworthy Whisp), the book takes readers (and soon listeners) on a journey through the history of Quidditch.  It covers everything from its early origins all the way up to the modern day matches shown in the Harry Potter films.

The audio version of Quidditch Throughout the Ages will be available for purchase on March 15th but, if you want to get a head start, you can also pre-ordered through Audible.  A portion of the audiobook proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief as well as J.K. Rowling’s charity Lumos.

What do you think about Andrew Lincoln lending his voice to the Harry Potter world?  Are you as excited as we are?  Are you going to pre-order the book?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
