Alexander Skarsgård wins his first Individual SAG Award

Alexander Skarsgård better make some more room on his mantle, as he will be taking another award home tonight. The actor, known best for his performances in True Blood, received his first (individual) Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) tonight for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series, Little Big Lies.

“A lot of people have been talking about who the greatest male actor ever is – is it [fellow nominee] Mr. Robert De Niro, or the tall dude from True Blood? The thespians have spoken — thank you very much for that,” he joked after coming to the stage to accept the award.

The actor played Perry Wright, across from famed actress Nicole Kidman.

Getting more serious, he stated, “I am shocked, I’m humbled, thank you very much for this. I’m incredibly embarrassed and infinitely grateful.”

Skarsgård previously won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award for his work in the HBO miniseries

Congratulations, Alex!
