Kid Flash is Coming to Legends of Tomorrow as Keiynan Lonsdale Becomes Series Regular

The first half of the third season of Legends of Tomorrow ended with two vacancies aboard the Waverider following the death of Martin Stein in the crossover and Jax’s decision to leave in the mid-season finale. It was teased that there would be an established character from the Arrowverse joining the crew and their identity has finally been announced.

Wally West will find himself aboard the Waverider in episode 11, which airs February 19, and then will officially become a member of the team in episode 13. In the Season 3 opener, we learned that Wally and Nate were a team and seemed to work pretty well together. Now that Wally is questioning his place as a member of Team Flash, it’s really no surprise that he’s going to end up on the Waverider.

Executive Producer Phil Klemmer adds that Wally is just like the other members of the team when they started out.

“…our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong — only to find those answers while traveling through time and having wacky adventures. So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he’s fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.”

It was also confirmed that Wally will not appear on The Flash before making the transition to Legends.

Legends of Tomorrow is still on hiatus, but returns Monday, February 12, on The CW.
