Stephen King to Receive 2018 Pen America Literacy Service Award
Award-winning author Stephen King will be adding yet another accolade to his collection. Best known for his unrestricted tales of horror, Mr. King is considered one of the most controversial writers of our time. Passionately supporting that freedom of expression has earned him much respect in the literary field. It is no wonder that on May 22nd, at this year’s Pen America Literary Gala, Mr. King will receive the Pen America Literacy Service Award that is presented to a critically-acclaimed author whose works represents Pen America’s stance against all forms of repression.

Whether a Stephen King fan or not, I think we can all agree that having the ability to express oneself freely is what allows us to be our authentic selves.
