The series stars John C. McGinley (Scrubs, Office Space, The Belko Experiment) as Stan Miller, a police sheriff who, after a strange and emotional outburst during his wife’s funeral, finds himself unemployed and feeling alone for the first time. When strange things start happening within the town, Stan soon discovered that his wife was a witch hunter. She secretly spent her nights protecting him from a curse cast upon the town centuries ago because of a constable who burned 172 witches at the stake. Evie Barret (Janet Varney), who takes over Stan’s position as sheriff, soon also discovers the town is overrun by demons and witches. Together, the unlikely pair is forced to team up to banish evil from their town once and for all.
In season two, Stan and Evie had accidentally opened a portal to the past, when witches were being burned at the stake and evil was running rampant. The opened portal allowed for all kinds of new terrors to make their way into Willard’s Mill. Stan is still dealing with the loss of his beloved wife while Evie is just trying to keep things “normal” in their quaint little town.
Stan Against Evil was created by Dana Gould (The Simpsons) and is executive produced by Tom Lassally (Silicon Valley) with McGinley also serving as a producer.
While no premiere date has been announced just yet, we can’t wait to see what kind of craziness is still to come in season 3. Are you excited to see another season of Stan Against Evil? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
