Westworld fans, get happy, because Jimmi Simpson is back!
Although his future on the show seemed uncertain once it was revealed that – SPOILER ALERT – his character William was a young version of The Man in Black (played by Ed Harris), the actor confirmed to reports at the Television Critics Association on Tuesday that he will indeed return for the show’s second season.
“I mean, yeah, I pop in. I wish there was exploration between the time when William’s heart was broken and we see the result. I want to know how much it takes and how hard he tried to not go there. But I don’t write the story,” he said.
Simpson also commented on rumors that Netflix’s Black Mirror may revisit the Star Trek episode “USS Callister” in a future stand-alone series, saying,
“I’ve heard little buzzes, but I don’t believe anything anything until I’m working on set. I would love it.”
Black Mirror is now streaming on Netflix and Westworld Season 2 will premiere sometime this spring on HBO.
