Johnny Galecki Hints That Season 12 Might Be the End for ‘The Big Bang Theory’

During CBS’s panel at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour on Saturday, Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki hinted that the end of the series might be closer than fans think.

Last year, the series was renewed for two additional seasons (11 and 12) and many fans assumed that this might be the end of the road for the show.  According to Galecki, those fans might be right.  He indicated that while the cast doesn’t discuss the series ending while on set,  the general consensus is that season 12 might be the last run for the Big Bang gang.  He said:

“The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping the show has been that we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes.  But I think at this point everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”

Of course, Galecki’s statement is not yet set in stone.  CBS has yet to announce a definitive end date for the series.  Currently, The Big Bang Theory is still going strong with fans and still holds the title of the highest-rated comedy on television.
