Kendrick Lamar will Produce and Curate the Soundtrack for ‘Black Panther’

The most recent announcement concerning Black Panther has Marvel fans more excited for the film than ever before. The trailers and first looks so far have been backed with killer songs, from The Revolution Will Not Be Televised to Legend Has It by Run The Jewels, the tracks are the perfect additions to an already encompassing film.

So when fans found out that Kendrick Lamar would be involved with the film’s soundtrack, more excitement was born. He left the clue in his latest music video LOVE. From there, fans wondered just how involved he was with the project. Now, it’s been determined that he is playing a bigger part than we anticipated.

Black Panther’s director, Ryan Coogler, said this about working with Lamar.

‘I am honored to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film. I can’t wait for the world to hear what Kendrick and TDE have in store.’

In addition to the news, ‘All The Stars’ was released yesterday, which will be on the Black Panther soundtrack and features SZA.

Lamar is set to perform during the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday the 8th. During the game, another sneak peek of the film will be released.

Black Panther hits theaters February 16th and the soundtrack will be released on February 9th.
