Fresh on the heels of Netflix’s announcement of a season 3 renewal, Jason Momoa and the cast and crew of Frontier are already hard at work with production for the new season.
Thanks to two videos shared by Momoa on Wednesday via his Instagram account, we know at least one detail from the upcoming third season – Declan Harp is getting some new duds!
The videos show the series star as well as clothing designer Blaine Halvorson and the folks from MadeWorn working on distressing and breaking in some attire for the upcoming 3rd season.
It’s easy to forget all the hard work and precise techniques that go into properly distressing clothing in order to make a certain look appear authentic. In the videos, Momoa can be seen applying “dirt” to a piece of wardrobe, showing a new leather jacket and modeling/breaking in what he calls his new “Frontier pants” and a tattered sports jacket.
In the series, Momoa plays Declan Harp, a part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw campaigning to breach the fur trade and continuing his warpath against the Hudson Bay Company’s monopoly. The series was co-created by Rob and Peter Blackie and also stars Landon Liboiron (Hemlock Grove), Alun Armstrong (New Tricks, Braveheart), Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey, Sons of Anarchy), Jessica Matten (A Red Girl’s Reasoning), Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle) and Katie McGrath (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword).
No word yet on a release date for season 3 of Frontier, however, seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix! Check out the behind-the-scenes sneak peek below and let us know what you think about Declan Harps new wardrobe!
