These are 2017’s Most Buzz-Worthy Film Scripts That Haven’t Been Made Yet

The 2017 Movie Script Black List was finally unveiled and it’s full of untapped movie potential that could be hitting theaters in the coming years! For those that aren’t familiar, the Black List is put together by movie industry executives who vote to determine the most exciting and buzz-worthy scripts that haven’t been made into films yet, although some are on the cusp of principal photography. Having your script on this list is a huge accomplishment for any screenwriter and can often have a Cinderella story outcome. Just last year The Post was near the top of the list and now it’s a Steven Spielberg film starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep vying for Academy Awards.

Films such as Juno, The Wolf of Wall Street, Superbad, Inglorious Bastards, Crazy Stupid Love, and The Social Network all got their start on the Script Black List, but, of course, some of the scripts don’t quite fit perfectly in the glass slipper. Other films that have appeared on the list such as Taylor Lautner’s Abduction, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Horrible Bosses, and Snow White & The Huntsman did not find the promising critical success they may have hoped.
