Over the weekend, Jason Momoa and the cast of Justice League mingled with fans at a comic convention in Long Island, New York. In addition to Momoa, cast members in attendance included Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Ciarán Hinds (Steppenwolf).
Just prior to closing out the weekend with an epic cast panel session, Momoa (who announced that he would have to leave early from the panel in order to catch his flight) graciously took to the stage solo and conducted an impromptu Q&A with fans.
As Momoa amped up the crowd, one fan asked if he had started filming for The Crow: Reborn. Momoa gave a definite and straightforward answer which put any rumors to rest. He said:
“Have I started filming The Crow yet? I have not even signed on the dotted line yet.”
This came as a surprise to many as Momoa’s involvement with the film reboot from director Corin Hardy has been speculated for quite some time. In fact, just last month, Momoa caused quite a stir when he shared an artist rendering of what appeared to be the iconic face paint of The Crow on his Instagram page. The caption to the photo addressed Hardy saying, “I’ve been waiting sooooo long. @corinhardy let’s do this brother.”
Fans took this as a sure sign that Momoa was confirmed, signed and ready to begin filming but, as it turns out, that’s not the case… yet! Momoa continued by saying:
“I’m sure when those things go through, the world will know. But it would be an honor if it did happen.”
No official details regarding production have been confirmed however, it is speculated that filming is expected to begin in early 2018.
