Fans of Star Wars are anxiously counting down the days until The Last Jedi makes its theater debut next week. Slated to be one of the most emotional films in the franchise, and in 2017 as a whole, we are excited to see what’s in store.
Carrie Fisher was a big part of the Star Wars franchise and her untimely death left a hole in the hearts of many. So it comes as no surprise that everyone involved with the film would do what they could to honor her.
That includes creating an alien inspired by her French Bulldog, Gary.
EW posted a photo of Carrie and Gary alongside a quick note on Instagram.
However, a fan noticed the alien inspired by Gary before it was even revealed. It just goes to show how passionate fans of Star Wars truly are. After the fan noticed it, director Rian Johnson confirmed that it was true, noting that the fan had a good eye.
YES! Wow, good eyes.
