Chris Evans Jokes About Disney-Fox Deal and a Cap/Torch Crossover

One of the most talked about films in pop culture right now is Avengers: Infinity War. Especially after its trailer release last week. We finally got a glimpse at the all-star lineup going against Thanos and it’s going to be quite the battle.

In addition to Infinity War, the MCU is a hot topic because of the impending deal between Disney and Fox.

Now, that deal would be interesting for a number of reasons and Chris Evans pointed one of them out on social media today.

Evans has taken on the roles of both Captain America and the Human Torch. If the Walt Disney Company is in its way to buying 21st Century Fox, some big windows of opportunity could open up.

Some of which would be funnier than others. Like, could we see a film where Evans takes on both the roles of Steve Rogers and Johnny Storm? Evans thinks it would be a hit, he even has a direction for which the movie could go.

‘So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spinoff? I’m thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap.’

It’s clear Evans tweeted this as a joke, but hey, if it led to him sticking around as Rogers for a while longer we would be front row (or middle center of the middle row – no neck pain for us, thanks) for whatever kind of Parent Trap/Planes, Trains, and Automobiles mixup there was.

CNBC has all of the up to date information on the deal, you can read it here.
