‘The Walking Dead’s’ Chandler Riggs Releases His First Song, “Hold On” Featuring Lolaby!

So what does Carl Grimes do when he’s not protecting his baby sister and keeping his community alive by fighting the undead? Well, he makes music, of course!

The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs, a.k.a. Carl Poppa, just released his first original song in collaboration with artist Lolaby on Tuesday. “Hold On” featuring Lolaby on vocals was released under the name Eclipse and has been a year-long project for both. Currently, the single is available on all platforms including Apple Music and Spotify. A free downloadable version is available on SoundCloud.

Like with everything else that goes around with any cast member on The Walking Dead, any side work usually leads to speculation of that character’s demise or cast member’s departure from the show. This is not always the case and it has been proven several times. Many cast members like Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan have filmed movies and other shows during the series’ hiatus and are very much safe and sound.

Hopefully, this is the case for Chandler who has been DJing at several events. If Reedus can go Ride motorcycles, then Carl Poppa can spin records and make music.

Congratulations, Chandler on this new chapter in your life! We can’t wait to hear more from Eclipse and to see how you will save Alexandria!

Chandler can currently be seen on The Walking Dead with its season eight mid-season finale airing this Sunday at 9 pm on AMC.
