‘Arrow’: Emily Bett Rickards speaks on her vision for Felicity’s Potential Start-Up Company

This past weekend, San Jose played host to their third Heroes & Villains convention – the guest list now almost doubling in numbers. Cast members from Arrow, The Flash, Gotham and various other shows took the stage to answer fan questions about their respective roles; some of them for the first time on a HVFF stage at San Jose!

One of those cast members, was none other than Emily Bett Rickards who played our favorite I.T girl, Felicity Smoak.

During an Arrow panel, a fan asked her about her vision for Felicity’s start-up company and which direction she would have loved to see that take off in. Her answer, of course, brought us back to Curtis’s miracle chip that allowed Felicity to walk once more after she and Oliver went up against Damien Darhk.

“I think if we were to dive back into that we would see a story-line of her and her recovery and sort of everything she went through and also getting to help other people. That’s what I always considered her startup with Curtis being,”

On a lighter note, when a fan asked her about Felicity’s favorite outfits, Emily had quite the response!

While the start-up story-line has, for the moment, been put on the back burner… perhaps we could see that return again soon. I mean afterall, if the show is going towards the 2046 timeline… Felicity could wind up getting her own company back, who knows! If there is one thing we know for sure about the Arrowverse, it is that anything could happen at anytime.

Arrow returns on Thursday, December 7th at 9PM/EST on The CW.
