Spoiler Warning! Only read on if you are caught up with AMC’s Talking Dead. The following article contains major spoilers regarding the Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead crossover event!
Worlds will collide within the Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead universe and now we have somewhat of an idea as to how that might go down.
Since Robert Kirkman made the official announcement in October of this year at New York Comic Con confirming a Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead crossover event, everyone has been speculating and putting together elaborate theories as to the identity of the crossover character. Additionally, earlier this week, AMC dropped the news that the identity of this character would be revealed much sooner than anticipated. The crossover character reveal was to take place immediately following The Walking Dead‘s episode 8 The King, The Widow and Rick during Sunday night’s Talking Dead. That moment has finally arrived!
We can reveal that the crossover character will be MORGAN!
In a complete and total shocker, Morgan (played by Lennie James) was announced Sunday night as the Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead crossover event which will take place during season 4 of Fear.
In a message from Scott M. Gimple, which host Chris Hardwick read, he assured fans that though Morgan will be featured on Fear the Walking Dead, fans can rest assured that he still has a lot of story left to be told on The Walking Dead. Morgan’s arch in The Walking Dead season 8 will position him for his guest appearance on Fear the Walking Dead.
When the crossover announcement was originally made, fans speculated that Abraham Ford (played by Michael Cudlitz) would be the crossover character due to his Houston, Texas ties. The Walking Dead then threw a major curveball at fans when season 1 character Morales (played by Gabriel Pareja) had a brief return this season. That callback led fans to believe that maybe Morales was the crossover character.
But now we know! Morgan will be heading to Fear the Walking Dead at some point during the 4th season of the series. It was also revealed that the AMC social media accounts will be live streaming footage from Lennie James’ first day on the Fear set so, be sure to check that out tomorrow!
