Gaming: ‘Injustice 2’ fans rally for Power Rangers to appear in Game

When NetherRealm Studios announced that they would be adding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the hit game Injustice 2, fans were certainly stunned. Then again, we saw characters outside of the DC world come to the game before, in the first Injustice.

Naturally, the news of this team up sparked fans to come up with a second suggestion as to who they would love to appear in the game – The Power Rangers.

Shorty after NetherRealm Studios released their fighter pack 3 over the weekend, revealing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles as playable characters, a petition for the five Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to be added to the game was started.

The petition, started by Thanura Ravindra from Sydney Australia, cites the turtles as an inspiration in her petition:

“The fans of Power Rangers would love to see the Rangers involved in Injustice 2. Having seen the Rangers with the Justice League in comics, why not go further? And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are in the game now.”

Whether the Power Rangers get added to the game or not, it’ll certainly be interesting to see how the Turtles will come into play for the game. Will the gamer be able to play as one and essentially ‘summon’ the others to come in and assist for a special attack? Or will you be able to pick your favorite out of all four per player

While we await for news of the petition, check out the trailer below for Injustice 2‘s Fighter Pack 3. I have got to say, the Turtles have quite the entrance.
