Chris Hemsworth Answers the Question on Everyone’s Mind Concerning Thor in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Thor: Ragnarok is drawing in some incredible reviews since it’s big debut in theaters which has already set it up to be one of the most talked about movies of 2017. From the epic battle between good  vs evil and the fantastic soundtrack and visuals – the movie draws you in completely.

If you’ve not yet made it to the theater to see Thor: Ragnarok, you may not want to continue reading this one. We’ll post a sweet departing gif(t) for you before you go.

Chris Hemsworth Answers the Question on Everyone's Mind Concerning Thor in 'Avengers: Infinity War'

If you did make it to theaters to see the film already, we’re sure you had the same reaction to Thor losing his eye as we did. An audible gasp followed by a ton of questions floating around in our heads. Mix that with the action of the film and by the time we walked out of the theater, our heads were spinning.

Yes, our favorite Asgardian’s made it out of the broken city and are headed to Earth, but what state will we see Thor in upon his return to the big screen in Avengers: Infinity War? Well, if you’ve seen the trailer, you know it’s a fragile one. However, he sort of leaves off in Ragnarok with a confidence – something we’re hoping to see more of before he finds himself a victim at the hands of Thanos. Back to that eye though, how did that come into play in the first place?

Taika Waititi discussed how the idea of him losing his eye came from the idea of him being stripped down and broken.

‘That kind of just evolved just throughout the script process, to just keep stripping that character down, having him lose the hammer and all those things and to kind of create a broken version of the character. At the end, he sort of becomes a refugee.’

Chris Hemsworth went on to say that the eye will be a factor in Infinity War.

‘Yeah, we carry it into the film with the eye patch you see in this film.’

Here’s hoping the full-length trailer for Avengers: Infinity War drops soon and we get some idea into what the future holds for Thor.
