‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Expected to Reach a Whopping $400 Million Worldwide by Sunday

When the first reviews for Thor: Ragnarok started rolling in, fans were more excited for the film than ever before. It’s being called one of the MCU’s best films to date and we have to say we agree. We saw the film already and one word being used around the internet, and in our opinion, to describe it is ‘witty‘.

Fans have flocked to theaters to see the movie and last weekend it opened to $109 million in 36 markets as reported by Deadline. That amount doesn’t include the US/Canada, Japa, Germany, Mexico, China, or Russia which will most certainly push the revenue beyond $400 million.

Deadline also reported that Thor’s first film had a worldwide total of $449 Million but that was six years ago. So this film is big in a number of ways, and one of those is showing how the MCU has grown in the demands of what fans want.

Fans can expect to see more of Waititi’s work if it’s up to him, and we think this film will ensure it. In a recent interview, he hinted that he’d love to return for more Thor films if the MCU is welcome to the idea.

‘I would like to come back and work with Marvel any time because I think they’re a fantastic studio, and we had a great time working together, and they were very supportive of me, and my vision. They kind of gave me a lot of free reign but also had a lot of ideas as well. A very collaborative company. I’d love to do another Thor film because I feel like I’ve established a really great thing with these guys, and friendship. And I don’t really like any of the other characters.’
