Khary Payton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan Banter over Payton’s Killer T-Shirt Design

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, the cast of The Walking Dead has to be one of the most incredibly kind and generous casts in pop culture history. Not only do they travel around the world to meet their fans, almost year round, they get involved with charity organizations and find ways to give back as often as possible.

While it’s awesome when they take part in these charity initiatives on their own, it’s even cooler when they let us get involved too. Most recently, Khary Payton designed his first ever tee which is a limited edition shirt. It’ll only be available for two weeks and, trust us, it’s a shirt you’ll want in your closet.

The design shows Shiva breaking Lucille in her mouth with the words, Never bring a bat to a cat fight around the image. Clearly, we already purchased one of our own. Someone else who got on board with the design is none other than Jeffrey Dean Morgan himself. Although, his reasons for purchasing it may be a little different than ours.

Of course, he’s happy that the proceeds go to help people, but you won’t see him wearing the design anytime soon, and he let Khary know that on Twitter just days ago.

The two had some fantastic banter after Khary posted the initial tweet with the shirt design and initiative behind it. It didn’t end there, however. In fact, it continued to get better as the pair went back and forth, showing the other that they’re not backing down.

The banter didn’t stop there. Khary told Jeffrey that he’d see him on Sunday, at the season 8/100th episode premiere, with the perfect gif response.

Jeffrey may be technology challenged, but he’s definitely a force to be reckoned with as Negan on The Walking Dead. While it’s all fun and games off camera – Sunday will bring the war back to the forefront of everything, once again.

While Negan and the Saviors are strong, they don’t have the tiger, and they don’t have the heart, at least not in the same capacity as those characters we’ve loved since the beginning.

No matter whose side you’re on in the ‘all-out war’ you can purchase that Khary designed shirt here and the money goes to support hurricane relief efforts.
