Since the news broke that Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct, Hollywood has been up in arms. Longtime colleagues and those who worked for Harvey have spoken out against him, saying his behavior is unacceptable and disgusting.
There are also many other actors and actresses who are using this time and their platforms to discuss personal stories that happen in Hollywood, and have also been kept quiet. They tend to involve people of power manipulating those around them.
Ben Affleck is one of the men in the business who made a statement about Weinstein’s use of power to intimidate women for decades. However, his statement didn’t rest well with everyone.
After his statement against Weinstein, a Twitter user mentioned that Affleck groped Hilarie Burton on TRL years ago and said ‘everyone forgot though’. However, it seemed less like everyone forgetting and more like people not knowing how to talk about it.
I didn't forget.

Hilarie responded that she hasn’t forgotten the inappropriate contact. She went on to say she was just a kid when it happened 14 years ago, and that she had to laugh in the moment to stop from crying.
At the end, she mentions that maybe some girls might not mind that sort of physical touch, but she’d totally rather have a high five. Once again, she felt the need to downplay the circumstances because she was young, and it’s hard to navigate a situation like that when you’re still trying to get your own footing secured.
Hilarie was met with love and support from longtime fans and new ones gained from her bravery. Hours later, Affleck made a public apology saying he acted inappropriately towards Ms. Burton.
I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize

The discussion of sexual assault in the business seems to be popping up everywhere.
