Michael Cudlitz Predicts “a Bloodbath” for ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 8

We are in the home stretch, Walking Dead fans!  Under two weeks until we kick off the eighth season of the series with what’s sure to be an epic 100th episode premiere.  With the 100th episode just around the corner, predictions for the eighth season are rolling in and, even former cast members are getting in on the action.

Recently, while at Walker Stalker Con Philadelphia, The Walking Dead alum Michael Cudlitz took the stage for his panel to close out the weekend.  During the fan question and answer session, Cudlitz was asked what his predictions were as to who might die in the upcoming season.

At first, Cudlitz tried to deflect an answer to the question by saying:

“I can’t do that.  I used to do it all the time and joke around about it.  Then I thought, ‘what if I’m right?’  People put more weight on what we say and they’ll be like, ‘oh, he knew!  He knew and he was trying to just cover up.'”

He has a valid point.  Fans of the show often analyze and dissect interviews from former and current cast members in order to form fan theories relating to the show.  So, best not to say anything about it, right?  Cudlitz just couldn’t help himself though when it came to messing around with the crowd a bit.  He quickly followed up his response by saying:

“So I don’t do that anymore. You know.  But, I’ll miss Norman.”

This response was, of course, met with boisterous laughter from the crowd and, we all know why.  Cudlitz continued:

“Norman’s always like, ‘well, why does everyone kill me!?’  Norman, if you’re watching, we kill you because we know you’re not dying.”

Cudlitz ultimately did offer a serious answer to the fan’s question and his response might have fans of the series worrying, just a bit, for your favorite characters.  Cudlitz replied:

‘I do have a prediction though.  I think it’s going to be a bloodbath because there’s a lot of characters on the show right now.  Just from pure storytelling purposes, there are a lot of characters so, you just can’t sustain that storytelling.”

Uh oh!  Could your favorite character be in serious trouble during the all-out war?  If, in fact, Cudlitz is right and we’re about to see a bloodbath of a season, who do you think will be leaving us during season 8?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
