First ‘Castle Rock’ Teaser Debuts at New York Comic Con
We finally have our first look at Hulu’s Castle Rock and it is super creepy!
Produced by J.J. Abrams and centered on Stephen King works, the series “combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”
The show’s cast – which included Melanie Lynskey, Andre Holland, Bill Skarsgard, and Sissy Spacek were on hand at the Hammerstein ballroom to discuss the show as part of New York Comic Con, a mini-series which was made to cater to mega and non Stephen King fans alike. Coming off the success of the highly anticipated IT remake, Bill Skarsgard said he was hesitant to another project like the film but couldn’t say no to the Castle Rock role. He went on to say that while his character is dark and mysterious, he’s completely different from Pennywise and that he delved deep into his psychology. Shot at one of the most haunted prisons in America, and filmed in Massachusetts, the cast concluded the panel by describing Castle Rock as “terrifying, delicious, twisted, mysterious, psychological, and surprising.”
