Amazing Artists At Walker Stalker Con Philly Step Up To Help Raise Funds For Puerto Rico
JaCo Tartaruga, Will Torres and Alex Rivera are not only incredible artists, they also have friends and family directly impacted by hurricane Maria. All three know firsthand the challenges facing their loved ones and all those living amidst the destruction on the island nation. While aid has finally been arriving, so much more is still needed. When I discovered JaCo, Will and Alex decided to take action, I wanted to spread the word in hopes their generosity will become contagious. Thank you Fan Fest News for allowing me to highlight their awesome efforts!
JaCo Tartaruga
JaCo used his unique splatter skills to create a stunning original painting dedicated to honoring his homeland. I was fortunate, while at WSC Philly, to actually observe him creating the piece he calls La Borinquena Llora. The emotion behind his artwork is undeniable and has already touched the lives of many. JaCo plans to use this heartfelt piece to generate funds that will be donated directly to the efforts of rebuilding Puerto Rico. A plan is currently being set in motion as to how funds will be collected. Visit JaCo Tartaruga on social media for details soon to be released. Facebook: @jacotartaruga Instagram: @jacotartaruga

Will Torres
Will put his abilities to the test during WSC Philly and donated a large portion of his proceeds from Walking Dead sketch covers directly to United for Puerto Rico. In addition, he plans to continue his efforts during New York Comic Con (NYCC). Be sure to stop by Will’s table, K14, and pick up a cool piece of original artwork that helps support the cause. He is also accepting non-perishable donations that will be taken from the Jacob Javits Center for shipment directly to Puerto Rico. For more information about how to submit donations, please contact Will Torres directly… [email protected].

Alex Rivera
Alex, known for his artistically playful spirit on the comic con scene, indicated that he too has been working to assist those affected by hurricane Maria. With help from generous employees of American Airlines, he is collecting items of necessity which are shipped directly to Puerto Rico. In addition, Alex will be raffling off some original artwork with all proceeds going to a Puerto Rican relief fund. Message Alex on social media for details on how you can help.
