Here’s Your First Look at John Krasinski as ‘Jack Ryan’
Six teasers have come and gone for Amazon’s new series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan but they were all missing one thing – Jack Ryan. Well, in a brand new teaser we finally get our first glimpse at the titular character being played by John Krasinski.
“All of the accounts link back to this phone. We know who you are.”
Jack Ryan is being executive-produced by Lost’s Carlton Cuse and will follow Ryan as he heads out on his first assignment to stop “a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.” In the teaser we see Ryan speaking with a terrorist in an interrogation room. While Krasinski is notoriously known for his lovable portrayal of resident prankster Jim Halpert on The Office, he recently showed off his action chops when he starred in last year’s well-received 13 Hours (below). Ryan is the perfect platform for Krasinski to shed that comedic TV character persona and prove his leading man potential.
If that teaser isn’t enough for you, you’re in luck. Cuse, Krasinski and supporting cast members, Wendell Pierce and Abbie Cornish, are revealing a brand new teaser this weekend at New York Comic Con. You can expect that to drop Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m. ET. The series is expected to hit the Amazon catalog in 2018.
