New Season 8 Photos from ‘The Walking Dead’ Feature Daryl, Rick and Ezekiel
We are just over a month away from the season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead and the anticipation is killing us! Luckily for us, Entertainment Weekly has come to the rescue with two brand new photos from the upcoming season!
The first photo shows Norman Reedus as the fan favorite character Daryl Dixon. Daryl is looking rugged and badass sitting upon his vehicle of choice – his iconic motorcycle. He also has his trusty crossbow in tow and looks ready to spring into action in the upcoming all out war which is brewing.
Daryl didn’t exactly have things easy last season. He was taken by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors and subjected to mental torture (like listening to Easy Street on repeat for days) and solitary isolation, however, he escaped the Sanctuary and made it back to safety, for now. Daryl definitely has a target on his back when it comes to Negan. Who knows what kinds of conflict this will bring as we prepare for war in season 8.
In the second photo, released today, we see birthday boy Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes and Khary Payton as King Ezekiel both looking rather pensive. Perhaps they are catching their breath after the intense drama which went down in the season 7 finale. Moments before Negan formally introduced Lucille to Rick’s son Carl (played by Chandler Riggs), Ezekiel, his tiger buddy Shiva and his group from the Kingdom leaped into action to save the day, leading to a violent showdown in Alexandria.
These dramatic images are just the start of what’s yet to come from season 8. Stay tuned for more photos and info regarding the new season of The Walking Dead as it becomes available.
