We here at Fan Fest have compiled character rankings for the end of season 7 of Game of Thrones. Character rankings are calculated using a combination of Dungeons and Dragons type statistics including strength, intelligence, wisdom and charisma as well as offensive and defensive forces and traits and overall survivability. These ranking are for the end of Season 7, and may change as we enter the start of the final season. So here we go:
1. Daenerys Targaryen
So, why is the Mother of Dragons at the top of the list? She is still the most powerful character in the show, commanding an impressive army and two dragons. She also has a powerful team of advisors at her side.
2. The Night King
What can we say? The guy captured a dragon, destroyed the wall and has control of an impressive army of nigh unstoppable creatures. Plus, he can add to that army at will.
3. Jon Snow(Aegon Targaryen)
King in the North, and rightful heir to the Iron Throne, Jon Snow ranks third due to his ingenuity, cunning, intelligence and also the company he keeps.
4. Sansa Stark
Sansa has started to come into her own, and commands steadily in her brother’s absence. She truly is the Lady of Winterfell, and fills the role with grace, intelligence, cunning and wisdom.
5. Cersei Lannister
While it is true Cersei may have ranked higher, her ruthless nature is starting to backfire on her. She still commands a large army, and while her cunning battle strategy is impressive, it also may lead to her downfall.
6. Arya Stark
She’s quick, intelligent, unforgiving, a skilled fighter and can disguise herself at will. These reasons alone are why Arya ranks at number 6 on the list.
7. Jaime Lannister
So why would we rank Jaime at number 7? Well, it seems he’s finally come to his senses about his sister, and he is still a skilled fighter, even with one hand. He’s also a pretty fearless leader unless a dragon is in his way.
8. Tormund Giantsbane
We placed Tormund at #8 because he is a capable fighter, and if he survived the attacked at the wall, will be and already is a formidable ally.
9. Sandor “The Hound” Clegane
The Hound comes in at #9 because we fully expect him to beat his brother in the battle we all know is coming.
10. Euron Greyjoy
He kidnapped his niece and took off, however we know he can fight. He ranks high on the list due to his unpredictable nature.
11. Brienne of Tarth
One of my favorite characters and an incredible fighter. She is one of the strongest characters in the Game of Thrones.
12. Tyrion Lannister
You may wonder why Tyrion is ranked higher than some fighters. We considered his intelligence, cunning, and wisdom as well as the company he keeps. Plus, after the meeting with his sister we can’t count out that he may have made a deal adding to his survivability.
13. Jorah Mormont
Loyal to a fault to Daenerys could be a means to his end. Jorah ranks in the middle of the pack.
Honestly, we’ve only seen him swing that hammer a few times, but we know he is a capable fighter. Now if he would just stop disappearing.
Bronn also ranks near the middle of the pack because he is only loyal to whoever is paying him at the time, which will eventually catch up with him.
16. The Mountain
He’s pretty useless without orders from Cersei, however when those orders come he’s a monster. He ranks at #16 because we don’t expect him to do much in the fight with his brother.
We know he can fight and command, but we haven’t seen him in a while.
Even though he finally stood up for himself, we still feel he’s a coward, and incapable in battle.
19. Beric Dondarrion
If he survived the finale at the wall, we expect that he’s in his final days. Besides he’s already died 6 times.
He’s admitted he’s not a fighter and so he ends up at #20.
The three-eyed raven cannot truly defend himself in a wheelchair, however he is defended at Winterfell.
22. Samwell Tarly
Sam is pretty useless at anything else except trying to be a maester.
While she can command a fleet, she didn’t do it very well and ended up captured. We don’t expect much more from her.
Our final entry. He tries, he really does and Brienne is very patient with him. However, he doesn’t seem to learn and unless Brienne is there to protect him, he’ll be finished.
What do you think? Did we get it right? Let us know who you’d rank the highest.
