WATCH: Adam Savage Makes A Foam Sword For Comic-Con
When Mythbusters got cancelled I was a little worried about what would happen to Adam Savage. I mean, I knew Adam would be fine. It’s not like he’d be hurting for work. Adam has worked on more projects than I can count. Shorty after it was announced Adam would be taking up shop at Tested.com and would be using that as his creative outlet. This time I was worried about Tested. Will and Norm had built a wonderful site with a tight knit community of members and I could see it all falling apart.
Boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Adam is constantly pumping out some amazing videos. One of my favorite series is his One Day Build series where Adam… builds something in one day. I guess that didn’t need much explanation. Let’s move on, shall we? Adam’s newest build video is that of a foam sword he needed to make for Comic-Con. Adam recently made a replica King Arthur sword from scratch, but he was unable to carry it on the floor as it could be considered a weapon. He needed something safe.
So sit back, relax, grab a drink, and some snacks. Enjoy this nearly 30-minute video of Adam savage making a foam prop sword into something spectacular. When you’re done, click on through to the archive of his builds and marvel in his ability to design, craft, and educate you in the art of Making.
